Steve is a teacher and the founder of Luminous Works, a training and consulting firm. Students of all levels have appreciated Steve's friendly and approachable style whether in Luminous Works' classrooms or the colleges, universities, and conferences where he has taught. He has designed digital workflows for hundreds of photographers and companies and has regularly helped Adobe Systems prepare Photoshop Certified Expert exams. He is the author of Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 4: A Photographer's Handbook.

David Julian

David Julian uses Photoshop as a creative laboratory as well as for photographic post-production. Dave will reveal the techniques he uses to artistically transform photographs and create conceptual photo-illustrations. His artistry is equal parts science, intuition and imagination.

Michael Caldwell

Michael Caldwell is a freelance producer and screenwriter. He previously oversaw development, production, and post-production of feature films produced by Vulcan Productions, including HARD CANDY and FAR FROM HEAVEN. Prior to joining Vulcan Productions, Caldwell served as a production executive with New Line Cinema, where his credits included AUSTIN POWERS: THE SPY WHO SHAGGED ME. Before that, he was a production executive with Walt Disney Studios. Caldwell holds an MFA degree in Cinema/Television Production from the University of Southern California.

Michael Falcone

Michael Falcone began making films with Annodam Productions in 2003, acting as assistant director, sound engineer, and film location scout. His scouting experience led him to Maelstrom Productions, where he continues to find unique locations for the film company. In 2008, he joined the Fremont Arts Council, where he later served on the board of directors. His experience with the FAC led him to unique filming opportunities, including the Fremont Solstice Parade and the Moisture Festival. In 2011, he began production on a documentary entitled The Hall of Giants: The Story of Fremont and the Troll, a Seattle City Artists funded film which is now in final production and currently under consideration by the Seattle International Film Festival. Jason will present a recent project. He will show the work and then discuss how he structured and organized it. Throughout the presentation he will highlight After Effects features that help him design and create great motion graphics. Specifically, he will highlight workspace, layers, comps and precomp, and the Dynamic Link with Premiere. He will also discuss warp stabilizer, 3D camera track, rotobrush, and the 3D ray-tracer.

Jason Jantzen is a motion graphics artist with a talent for design and animation. After graduating from the International Academy of Design and Technology, he dove into the motion graphics field headfirst. Scott Dodson

Scott will present an overview of the principals of gamification through a selection of case studies. Gain an actionable definition of gamification. Understand the distinction between Intrinsic and Extrinsic rewards and their role in the lifecycle and motivation of a user. Develop a familiarity with a basic tool set of game mechanics.

Scott Dodson (@gamebiz) is a serial entrepreneur and product, UX, and motivational design consultant. He is currently CEO of Motivational Design, LLC, and Senior Lecturer of Game Design at DigiPen. He is a three time Tech Stars Seattle mentor, board advisor to Struts & Springs, Inc. and game studios Zipline Games and BodSix. As COO and Product Owner of Bobber Interactive he gamified financial services for Fortune 100 companies and led design for Bobber’s proprietary Engagement Engine. He previously served as CEO of Flying Rhino Studios, Tenacious Games Inc., and Divide by Zero Games.

Scott has launched more than a dozen products in fourteen countries, on social, mobile and tabletop platforms. He is intrinsically motivated and loves games, crossfit, conferences, his family, and pie.

Chris Griffith is a Staff Engineer in Qualcomm's User Experience group, and an instructor (Mobile Application Development) at UCSD Extension. Chris has over 15 years experience in developing prototypes for a variety of clients and platforms, and has developed several iPhone and Android applications. He is an Adobe Community Professional and is regularly invited to speak at conferences such as Adobe MAX and 360Flex. Robi Ganguly

Robi grew up in Redmond, back when it was most famous for Nintendo rather than Microsoft. He spent his formative years experimenting with BASIC on a Sperry PC. After attending Pomona College, where he majored in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, Robi moved to San Francisco and worked for Deutsche Bank Alex Brown, experiencing the "dotcom crash" firsthand.
